Roasted Red Peppers Stuffed with Risotto

Last week, on a night when it was my turn to cook, I branched away from grilled cheese and spaghetti and tried something new.  True it was just a simple pasta, but I did pseudo-follow a recipe, and I thought the end result turned out pretty tasty.

My dinner, however, was pretty much nothing compared to Ben’s. This past Friday night, Ben decided we should take advantage of our new kitchen (and oven!) and try fixing a nicer dinner.  Like me, he pseudo-followed a recipe (this one), and like me, he also veered away from it a bit (portabella mushrooms don’t seem to exist in Switzerland, and parmesean cheese was substituted for—what else?—gruyere).

The end result? Definitely delicious:
mixed greens with yellow bell peppers and gorgonzola
cheese. mmm!

the red pepper's filling: a delicious risotto

roasted red peppers! it's so nice to have
an oven again!
roasted red pepper stuffed with risotto. delicious.
after a few weeks of vegetarian cooking, ben was pretty
excited to fix himself a steak.
I don't really like overly-edited photos, so I preferred the
first steak photo, but ben suggested I post this one as
well, stating, "you're carnivorous blog readers will
appreciate this."
before I left for switzerland, my mom gave me these
whimsical napkin rings.

the entire set-up. bon appetit!
